in a single product.

Multifunctional soil amendment enhancing plant and soil vitality.

EcoNutriFert is a soil amendment based on nano-biotechnologies, uniquely combining effects of feritlizers with controlled release of nutrients, soil conditioners, water retention compounds and improving humidity management in soil.

Higher crop yield due to better nutrient and water management under both dry and rainy conditions

Qualified for bio-food production according the new EU legislation

Supports regeneration of damaged soil, reduces negative effects of overusing fertilizers

Unique combination of functions in one product reducing number of field applications

More eco-friendly and effective agriculture. EcoNutriFert provides functions of several single purpose products.

EcoNutriFert products are based on a combination of suspension liquid and unique substance carriers produced employing nano-biotechnologies. In addition to the plant macro and micro nutrients, the substance carriers contain bioactive agents supporting germination and extension of root system and natural compounds contributing to regeneration of degraded soil.

Micro-carriers release nutrients and other compounds in a pre-programmed manner upon external (pH, humidity, temperature) or internal (carrier composition, size, geometry and morphology) stimuli.

EcoNutriFert also contains biodegradable natural superabsorbents and hygroscopic compounds, improving management of soil humidity by enhancing water retention and reducing evaporation from soil.

FAQ

Most frequent questions and answers

Thanks to its unique combination of carriers of nutrients and other substances, EcoNutriFert has potential for the future in a number of areas from agriculture, arboriculture and forestry through care for urban greenery, green architecture and sports fields to gardening and floristry. In addition, the composition and application formula of EcoNutriFert can be tailored to specific climatic and soil conditions and plant types. We are currently testing all of these options. If you are interested in the current state of research for a specific type of crop / climatic conditions, do not hesitate to contact us.

EcoNutriFert is a product that is completely naturally degradable without residues. Under normal precipitation conditions, the substances in the liquid preparation decompose in normal soil with an average soil bacteria content within 90 days of use.

SAPs are also components of so-called soil conditioners, which are usually mixtures where SAP is mixed with other substances such as fertilizers, compost, growth promoters and possibly soil substrate, so they have more functions than just passive rainwater retention, as is the case for the hydrogels themselves. However, this is reflected in the relatively high price, which significantly limits their large-scale application. In addition, the use of synthetic SAPs in soil conditioners prevents their use in organic farming and organic food production. Even the most modern soil conditioners today do not provide the release of individual nutrients controlled according to the needs of the current vegetation state of a particular type of plant, as offered by EcoNutriFert.

The first difference is the application form. Unlike soil conditioners produced almost exclusively in solid form, EcoNutriFert exists in both liquid and solid form. In addition, both forms of EcoNutriFert are made entirely from natural raw materials and are fully biodegradable without the formation of hazardous residues, so they can be used in organic farming and organic food production. In addition to all the functions of a modern soil conditioner, the liquid EcoNutriFert offers improved rainwater or irrigation water infiltration, active reduction of water evaporation from the soil and real, not only slowed release of individual nutrients, microelements and germination and branching substances. All this with easy application by conventional spraying techniques. Solid EcoNutriFert, developed in the form of granules or pellets, is more than a modern soil conditioner. Each individual EcoNutriFert granule contains all the functions of modern soil conditioners and also supports active reduction of water evaporation from the soil and real, not only slow, control of the release of individual nutrients and microelements, germination aids, root system development and plant vitality. EcoNutriFert can release even the same nutrient multiple times as needed at different stages of plant development. EcoNutriFert is easily applied over a large area by conventional spreading or sowing (corn under the heel) technique.

The hydrogels used in agriculture, or more correctly superabsorbent polymers (SAP), are synthetic polymers based on potassium salts of polyacrylic acid (potassium polyacrylate) in the form of powder or granules. The use of sodium salts of polyacrylic acid, used as a superabsorbent component in diapers and other hygienic products, is not suitable for agricultural applications. The hydrogels sold are simply a repackaging of polymers from large-scale production and do not contain any functional component other than SAP, and their main role is to passively retain water at root depth, which can have a positive effect in times of drought. However, current research shows that their use under normal rain conditions may adversely affect the availability of some water-soluble nutrients to plants, as they may enter SAP particles during rainwater absorption, but are no longer able to be released and utilized by plants due to interactions with SAP.

The ability to retain water by conventional hydrogels is related not only to the type of superabsorbent polymer used, but also to the properties of the water. As the mineral content of the water increases, the retention capacity decreases and the amount of water released to the plants is limited. Although modern soil conditioners have a lower retention capacity than hydrogels or SAP used in diapers, for example, they are able to release up to 95% of the retained water back to the plants. The components of EcoNutriFert are formulated to combine high passive retention capacity and effective water release to plants with the active attraction of water vapor evaporating from the soil and its condensation into liquid water. This increases the amount of rainwater or irrigation water available to the plants.

Yes, it is possible, especially with plant protection products. The composition of EcoNutriFert is designed to cover the nutritional needs of a specific type of plant during their growing season. In addition, the econutrifert contains hydroabsorbents, hygroscopic substances and ingredients that support germination and more efficient nutrient uptake by supporting the development of a root system that makes better use of the nutrients contained in the soil. In case of any ambiguity, we recommend consulting a specific procedure with us.

At this point, EcoNutriFert is available in liquid form for spray or watering application. In the future, we also anticipate EcoNutriFert in solid form as granules for application with conventional machine and hand spreaders. Contact us for more information.
